為什麼還要遵循神的話語呢？

我努力做一個正直的人，結果什麼好處也沒得到！選擇正義，根本得不償失。那些不認識神的人過得比我還好！

你有沒有曾經因為遵循神的話語而感到疲憊不堪？我有。這些想法曾經在我諸事不順的時候，出現在我的腦海中。我的這些想法顯示了我心裡面跟隨神的出發點是利己而不是服侍神。

我實際心存這樣一種誤解——我以為遵循神的話語就會讓我過得比較好，讓我心想事成。但是神從來沒有在《聖經》中給過我們這樣的應許，對不對？讓我們從《詩篇》中找尋我們為什麼要跟隨神的原因：

詩篇119：164："我因您公義的典章一天七次讚美你。"

埃德蒙• 伯克曾經說過，"惡人得勝的唯一條件就是好人的袖手旁觀。"在現今這樣一個凡事無絕對的世代，我們唯一可以信靠的美善只有神的話語。神的公義永恆不變。不要放棄行善﹐不要袖手旁觀。

詩篇119：165："愛您律法的人有大平安，甚麼都不能使他們絆腳。"

當我們遵循神的話語，我們讓神的靈在我們裡面成就聖工，給我們以平安。那些無視神的人不能享受神的同在，因為罪成為了一塊絆腳石，阻礙了他們享受神切實的同在。我們在看待事物的時候，要目光長遠。

詩篇119：166："耶和華啊，我仰望了您的救恩，遵行了您的命令。"

當我們遵循神的律法的時候，我們可以倚靠神的拯救。

詩篇119：168："我遵守了您的訓詞和法度，因我一切所行的都在您面前。"

這是最令人信服的理由。因為神是無所不知的﹐祂知道我們所經歷的是何種苦難。願那因著遵循神的話語而帶來的艱辛、淚水和痛徹心扉一並成為蒙神悅納的馨香之祭。

願神在《詩篇》中的啟示可以使你在舉步維艱的時候，能夠繼續信靠神的話語。

"如果大家都在為著榮耀神而作工，那麼彼此之間為什麼還有那麼多的分歧呢？"，某人為此感到困惑不已。

《聖經》告訴我們：

首先，不是所有人都在為了神的榮耀而作工。(馬太福音 13:24-30)

其次，神的心意並不是同時向所有人顯明。祂按照祂美好的時間，成就祂的工作。 (約翰一書 4:19; 哥林多前書 13:12)

並且，我們蒙召來愛我們的仇敵。如果沒有意見不一的時候，我們就不會有仇敵。 (馬太福音5:44)

 

 

WHY BOTHER OBEYING GOD'S WORD?

I try to do the right thing and all I ever get is trouble! It's just not worth it.
Those who are living in ignorance of God actually have an easier life!

Do you ever grow weary of obeying God's word? I have. These thoughts come to me when I'm run-down and things aren't going my way. These words reveal that my heart's motivation is oriented to self-service, not God's service. I have fallen under the misconception that obeying God's word will lead to an easy and trouble-free life where my heart's desires are fulfilled. But God hasn't promised that, has He? Let us look to the Psalms for guidance on the real reasons why we should obey God's word:

Psalm 119: 164 Because all your regulations are just.

Edmund Burke once said "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." In a world of relativity, God's word alone can be trusted as the only absolute good. His righteousness will never change. Don't give up doing good. Don't resign to do nothing.

Psalm 119: 165 Those who love your instructions have great peace and do not stumble.

When we obey God's word, we allow the Spirit to minister to us and give us peace. Those who disregard God cannot enjoy His presence because sin causes a stumbling block from enjoying the fulfillment of God's presence. Keep the long view in mind.

166 I long for your rescue, LORD, so I have obeyed your commands.

When we are faithful to God's laws, we can look forward to his rescue.

168 ...because you know everything I do.

This is the most compelling reason! Because God knows everything, He is aware of our suffering, too.

May the hardships, tears and heart aches of obeying God's command be an offering to him which He finds acceptable.

May the Psalms can give you inspiration to keep trusting God's word, even when the going gets tough.

Someone was wondering why there is so much disagreements if everybody is working towards the glory of God.

Firstly, not everybody is working for the glory of God. (Matthew 13:24-30)

Secondly, God does not reveal all his plans to everybody at once. He did it according to his perfect timing. (1 John 4:19; 1 Corinthians 13:12)

Meanwhile, we are called to love our enemies. If we don't have any disagreement, then we won't have enemies. (Matthew 5:44)
