想做得最好，你就必須休息

出埃及記34:21 "你六日要做工，第七日要安息；雖在耕種收割的時候，也要安息。"

神已經為我們設立了榜樣，在做完六天的工作之後，在下一輪工作開始之前，神就休息了（創2:2-3）。同樣的，在每一天和每一週裡，你也當在工作表裡規劃自己應有的休息時間。〈出埃及記〉34章21節說 ： "雖在耕種收割的時候，也要安息。" 因為神知道我們的習性是不肯休息。

對於那些喜歡工作的人而言，他們需要有一些原則，例如：自我控制，並且相信神，在他們休息之後，依然還有很多事可做。但你若希望在長期的工作裡建立效率，就必須學習讓你的身體，你的心神和靈魂都得到休息。

對身體而言，要養成良好的睡眠和進食習慣，不要太晚睡或太晚進食，並且要有適當的運動。

對心神而言，是要給自己一個機會，從每天忙碌的工作中抽出來，去做一些其他的事情，例如花一些時間和一些可以使你心靈重新得力的人在一起。

最重要的，對靈魂而言，要花時間給神和神的兒女，守護你和神的 "遊戲" 時間，並且去教會敬拜。

想要做得最好，你需要休息。希望你能在最忙碌時也能找到休息的時間，如此你才能夠在一切所做的事上，把最好的獻給神。

To Be At Your Best You Need To Rest

Exodus 34:21 (NIV) 21 "Six days you shall labor, but on the seventh day you shall rest; even during the plowing season and harvest you must rest."

We have this tendency to say, "I don't have time to rest. I'm going to work, work, work until all my work is done, and then I'm going to rest". The only problem is: eventually we discover that there's no end to the work! There is always more work to do. That's why if you say "I'll only rest when there's no more work to be done," you'll never rest at all.

God sets a different example for us. After finishing six days of work, God rested before working again (Genesis 2:2-3). Similarly, each day and each week, set aside regular time for rest into your schedule. Verse 21 says "even during the plowing season and harvest you must rest". It's because God knows our tendency to refuse to rest.

For those who love to work, it takes some discipline, self-control and trust in God to rest even while there is still more work to do. But if you want to be effective in the long term, you need to learn to give rest to your body, your mind and your soul.

For your body that means developing good sleeping and eating habits, not sleeping too late or eating too late, and getting regular exercise.

For your mind that means giving yourself a chance to rest from the matters that usually keep you busy. It means doing other things that rejuvenate you and spending time with people who refresh you.

Most importantly, for your soul that means spending time with God and God's people, protecting your GAME time with God and your time to worship in church.

To be at your best you need to rest. May you learn to find rest even during your busiest seasons so that you can give your best to God at all times in all that you do.
