【牧者抒懷】倫敦奧運會的反思

 

四年一度的奧運會經已曲終人散,一連十七日的精彩賽事,可有甚麼難忘的鏡頭,令你深深記住?

倫敦奧運的開幕式,沒有京奧的深刻,除了人力、物力、財力的投資都明顯有差矩之外,更因它沒有甚麼像李寧的空中跑步那麼令人刻骨銘心,我相信更重要的,是因為你我都是中國人,對中國的一切事,我們都份外留神,也份外地上心。倫奧的閉幕式更只是「樂與怒」音樂會一個。

今屆奧運開幕式,最令我記得的不是占士邦(James Bond)與英女皇的特別任務或是跳傘鏡頭,而是一班小朋友在偌大的場館裡面,悠悠地唱出聖詩《C》(Abide With Me)。在全世界一直都想將神拒諸門外的今日,在近年的國際盛事之中,聽到有提及神的言論已是鳳毛麟角,更何況是開幕式的重要一環?不過這首詩歌在英國足壇上,還是佔有重要地位的,它自從1927年足總盃決賽阿仙奴對卡迪夫城開始,已經成為傳統,每屆都要唱一次。隨後在英式欖球決賽,或是甚麼大型體育盛會,都會唱出這首詩歌。究竟球迷們真正明白這詩歌的真正意義嗎?

這首詩歌是蘇格蘭聖公會信徒列特 (Henry Lyte) 於1847年正患肺病時所寫,是向神的一個禱告,求主同住,同經歷生命裡種種困難,跨過每樣試煉,甚至面對死亡。在艱難裡,有主同在!列特寫完這詩後三週,被神接去。

因此,今屆奧運令我留下深刻印象的,不是男女子4 x 100公尺接力賽創新世界紀錄,而是運動員不斷的訓練、鍛鍊、磨練、挑戰自我、突破自己,才能真正做到更快、更高、更強。在芸芸選手之中,我特別留意的是,南非選手Oscar Pistorius。

在奧運歷史上,曾經有過不少身體有殘障的運動員參與。1904年,在德國出生的美國選手George Eyser是第一個有殘障的運動員在正式奧運會裡面得到獎牌,他左腳是裝上了義肢,但是他在一日之內得到三金兩銀一銅。匈牙利射擊好手Karoly Takacs 被手榴彈炸斷右手,於是改用左手開槍,結果連奪1948年和1952年兩屆奧運金牌。

今屆這位南非選手Oscar Pistorius ,他綽號「刀鋒跑手」(Blade Runner),因為他的義肢好似刀鋒一樣,他又被封號為「無腳的飛人」(Fastest man with no legs)。他11個月大的時候失去雙腿,今年25歲。他在2004年殘奧漸露頭角,今年參與正式奧運又同時參與殘奧,主力400公尺,4x400兩個項目。他的努力付出,需要比一個正常的運動員多出不知多少倍,這是我們可以想像的。在殘奧勝出已經是非同凡響,在正式的奧運當中比賽,實在更加值得我們敬佩!

結果他分別在400公尺賽跑半準決賽,跑得第八,未能擠身決賽名單,及後男子4 x 400公尺決賽之中也跑得第八名,沒有任何獎牌。當賽事完畢之後,步離場館之際,他停下來,回望這八萬多的觀眾,反思他的「勝利」,他說一生難忘!

縱然是跑第八,他還是「勝利」了!他已勝過身體的殘障,他已經盡了全力,勝過不少世界精英,為自己創出佳績。賽後有對手與他交換比賽名牌,這是奧運場內罕見的,可見他帶給別人的鼓勵與推動。

Lance Armstrong是環法自由車賽 (Tour de France) 連續7屆冠軍,由1999到2005年,他的紀錄到今天仍然是未被打破。其實,他在1992年就參加奧運,得第14名。而他也在1996年曾經患上癌症,經過化療後身體極其疲累,但是,他仍然沒有停止訓練。

他在自傳裡講到,當他返回訓練的時候,他要好像從來未騎過單車一樣,要用盡他的體能,不停地騎,就像懲罰自己身體一樣。這豈不是哥林多前書9章27節所講的「我是攻克己身,叫身服我......」嗎? Armstrong說,教練叫停,他也不同意,總之每日直落要騎七個小時以上,他說,「要贏這個比賽,我要願意去騎,即使是別人不騎的時候!」(To win the Tour I had to be willing to ride when no one else would ride) 關鍵在於願意。

《求主同住》(Abide With Me)不是一個傳統,不是一個口號,更不是一個信口開河的禱告。是我們真誠的邀請,求主同住,求主同行、同經歷。我們清楚知道自己的屬靈光景,要成為一個討神喜悅,健康的屬神的子民,是我們的夢想與目標。在成長的路途上,我們不自滿,要付出,抵擋誘惑,「我是攻克己身,叫身服我......」我們要學習有紀律,我們要訓練,盼望我們都能更快地收拾心情,有更高的鬥志,更強的決心。但是,關鍵仍是我們是否願意。

喜樂 Joy

謙卑 Humility

凡事不可結黨,不可貪圖虛浮的榮耀;只要存心謙卑,各人看別人比自己強。腓立比書 2:3

嫉妒 Envy

A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones. Proverbs 14:30

生氣 Anger

當止住怒氣,離棄忿怒;不要心懷不平,以致作惡。詩篇 37:8

好生氣的人,不可與他結交;暴怒的人,不可與他來往。箴言 22:24

憂愁 Worry

你們不要憂愁、因靠耶和華而得的喜樂是你們的力量。尼希米記 8:10
Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10

主雖使人憂愁, 還要照他諸般的慈愛發憐憫。耶利米哀歌 3:32
Though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love. Lamentations 3:32

患難 Trouble, Suffering

義人多有苦難,但耶和華救他脫離這一切。詩篇 34:19
The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all. Psalm 34:19

神是我們的避難所,是我們的力量,是我們在患難中隨時的幫助!詩篇 46:1
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1
